I think you can really hear it best from like 1:15 on, but the whole vid is pretty good as far as exhaust noise goes.

I've had a few (or five) bottles of Double IPAs from here and there, but that IS the noise you'll hear from my engine though. It's a Ford Kent engine (Endura-E version, a redesign of the Valencia/HCS) famous for it's tappet noise. Mine is running with straight pipes and a podfilter :P Hence the Wraaaooopputputburble..tickticktick.

This makes me wish I had a video of my old exhaust setup. Shorty headers, bassani catless x pipe and 2 chamber flowmasters. It would LOUD but sounded amazing. stupid me got rid of it for Long tubes and a full MAC set up and regret it to this day since that Xpipe is no longer made. :'(

I do too otherwise there's no way I would have spent so much time and blood getting mine back on the road. It was a basket case that cost me $800. I'm still ok on the money spent so far, but I underestimated the aggrevation factor of fixing what previous owners had "fixed" over 40 years. It's running now but not quite road worthy yet. Next year!

Nothing strange about it, it's all about driving a vehicle at 10/10ths literally all of the time! I know we like to say that about cars a lot, but with a scooter it's actually true. I can drag the body work by leaning too far into corners and the throttle might as well have be an on/off switch given my use.
I often tell people who ask that, in terms of sheer enjoyment, not much has come close to my scooter. Then they usually give me a strange look and walk away.

This time co-incided with the economy fall out. In Indianapolis where Pfizer and Eli Lilly were based, a lot of scientists were cut from the R+D departments, and so they applied to med school. As a result, that year, the scores seemed to spike. For whatever reason, I didn't get in. Rather than wait for another year, i decided to just go wherever they accepted me.
